Bradford Allen, a Chicago-based national commercial real estate firm providing a full spectrum of brokerage services, is seeking to hire an experienced retail broker to join our downtown agency services team in our Chicago headquarters office at 300 S. Wacker, Chicago, IL 60606.
The candidate will head up the recently formed retail division of the downtown leasing practice. Candidate will be the lead agent on some existing retail assignments already with the firm and will work directly with the head of the downtown agency leasing group to develop new retail accounts. The focus of the role will be to service existing clients and help grow the division year-over-year with the support of the company, which has dedicated the resources, technology, and people to assist in making the goal a reality.
Compensation is negotiable (base salary and commission structure).
Responsibilities
- Secure downtown leasing assignments and service those accounts
- Ability to work in a team capacity (one other broker currently on the retail team) and be the lead on assignments
- Develop strong relationships with existing clients and prospective clients
- Assist in the development and preparation of marketing and presentation materials
- Qualify and target prospective owners to pursue
- Perform all typical roles of a retail leasing broker
Qualifications
- Illinois Real Estate Broker’s license
- 5+ years of experience in retail landlord representation in Chicago
- Proven sales experience focusing on prospecting and new business development
- Strong communication skills (oral, written & presentation)
- Must possess a professional presence and be a strong relationship builder
- Ideal candidate is driven, optimistic, detail oriented, outgoing, and a self-starter
